PITT Day in Harrisburg

Attention Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni!

Join us for the University’s annual PITT Day in Harrisburg!  In addition to sharing your Pitt-Johnstown story with your lawmakers, you will get a first-hand view of how our state government works, while networking with fellow students, alumni, and students from the other Pitt campuses. Transportation and lunch are provided at no charge.

Tentative Schedule of Events:

7:15 a.m.
Depart for Harrisburg (buses depart from LLC)

10:30 a.m.
Arrive in Harrisburg
Main Capitol - Lower Level (concourse) of East Wing 
Commonwealth Avenue entrance

11 a.m.
Legislative Visits
Meet with your elected officials and share your Pitt Story
Find your state senator/representative > 

11:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m.
Tour of the Pennsylvania Capitol (optional)

1:30-2:30 p.m.
Career Chat (Learn more)
8-E-B East Wing

2:30-4 p.m.
Legislative Reception with Chancellor Gallagher
Main Rotunda, Main Capitol (first floor)

4 p.m.
Depart for Johnstown

 

Registration

Advance registration is required for this event (the registration deadline is Wednesday, March 15). If you are traveling with the Pitt-Johnstown group, please register using the link on this page (do not register through the Pittsburgh campus). Register here >

Attire

Attendees should wear business-casual attire.  All members of the Pitt-Johnstown delegation will receive a Pitt-Johnstown lapel pin to wear and keep as a souvenir.
