Academic planning days familiarize incoming students with Pitt-Johnstown's campus, faculty, staff, regulations and procedures, and offer first-term advising.

This session is open to all students who were unable to attend on their regularly scheduled day.

8:30 a.m.-9 a.m. – Check-In, Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center (PPAC)

Doors open at 8:15 a.m.

Interactive Panel for Parents – An interactive discussion and Q&A with representative from the following campus departments:

Athletics, Bookstore, Business Office, Campus Ministries, Campus Police, Career Services, Financial Aid, Information Technology, Health and Counseling, Housing and Dining, Library, Registrar, Residence Life, Student Activities and Engagement.

3 - 4 p.m. – Foreign Language Placement Testing, 248 Biddle Hall

Students wishing to demonstrate their language skills in French and/or in Spanish should contact the Humanities Division ( to schedule to take the appropriate foreign language placement exam.  This will allow us to place respective students in the appropriate level French or Spanish course during the fall term.   In your email, please include your full name, language exam desired, and the Academic Planning Day that you will attend.

3:30 p.m. – Campus Tours, optional, beginning in Blackington Hall lobby

8 a.m. - 4 p.m. – Photo IDs, Student Union Commuter Lounge (162 – upper level)
