The Symposium for the Promotion of Academic and Creative Enquiry, SPACE, is Pitt-Johnstown's annual undergraduate research conference. It provides a forum for Pitt-Johnstown students from all disciplines to present their research, creative or scholarly projects to the campus community.

Attending this year’s event as guests of Pitt-Johnstown President Jem Spectar are University of Pittsburgh Chancellor Patrick Gallagher and Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor Patricia Beeson.

A faculty showcase will start at 11:30 a.m. and Chancellor Gallagher is kicking off the undergraduate research program at 12:15 p.m. Dr. Spectar will follow with his remarks.

During the event, students from every discipline on campus are given the opportunity to share the results of their class projects, independent study projects, senior projects, internships and creative works as talks or poster presentations or performances.
