Real World opportunities, including internships, service-learning, undergraduate research, study abroad, and other creative and professional work experiences, result in exceptional performance. 

The Real World Action Program is a University-wide initiative designed to guide students through a series of programs, activities and experiences that complement their academic studies. 

At Pitt-Johnstown, 100% of journalism students gain internships.Graduates will enter the profession ready to compete at the highest levels alongside practiced professionals. 

Since 1995, Pitt-Johnstown journalism graduates have won more than 50 statewide writing and layout / design awards.
