Construction of the 7,400-square-foot John P. Murtha Center for Public Service and National Competitiveness ̶ on the Pitt-Johnstown campus ̶ may be viewed via webcam.
The project is targeted for completion by the end of 2016. IKM Inc. is the project's architect, Volpatt Construction is its construction manager, and HF Lenz Co. is the engineering firm.
Mr. Murtha served 36 years in the U.S. House of Representatives until his death in 2010. He was also the first-ever recipient of Pitt-Johnstown’s Distinguished Alumni Award, which recognizes an alumnus/alumna each year for his or her individual achievements, leadership in his or her professions, service to community, and loyalty to the alma mater.
