Pitt-Johnstown's Majocha Receives the Ecroyd Teaching Excellence Award

Kristen Majocha, PhD, an associate professor of communication at Pitt-Johnstown, received the Ecroyd Teaching Excellence Award at the 2017 Eastern Communication Association Conference, held in Boston.

MajochaThe Ecroyd Teaching Excellence Award is presented annually to recognize excellence in teaching.

The specific criteria includes: ECA membership for five continuous years; a full-time teaching position at any level of education at the time of nomination; and a demonstrated record of employing communication principles as the foundation for constructing pedagogical principles applied in teaching practices.

In addition to her classroom work, Dr. Majocha is Pitt-Johnstown’s interim Assistant Vice President for Academic and interim Director of International Program Support and Services.
